A lot of men were never taught how to set a boundary without either exploding or going silent. The skill is saying what you will and won't do — calmly, once, and without a fight.
A boundary is about you, not them
You don't control other people. You control your response. So a boundary describes your action, not a demand on theirs.
Trying to control them
“Stop texting me about work after 6pm.”
Owning your response
“I don't check work messages after 6pm, so I'll reply in the morning.”

Hold it without guilt
The first time you set a boundary, expect pushback — especially from people used to you saying yes. Pushback isn't proof you're wrong. Restate it once, calmly, and don't over-explain. “No” is a complete sentence.
